Who are we?
Coppin Bros are one of London's oldest surviving family butchers and still operate from their original south London site. In the last 100 years more than 15 family members have worked for the firm which is now run by Paul Coppin who joined the business when he left school 40 years ago aged 15.
What do we do?
Coppin Bros supply all forms of meat to the general public and catering outlets both large and small. The policy of the firm is still that of the founder James Coppin, to sell only top quality products at a fair price. This policy has proved its worth in the last 10 years when as literally 1000's of family butchers have closed through lack of support Coppin Bros has actually increased its market share
What makes us different?
We buy only from the top suppliers and all produce is checked in the traditional way for its quantity and not its price. ALL beef is Licensed Scotch Aberdeen Angus sent direct from Scotland, ALL lamb is fresh home produced stock, ALL cooked meats are cooked on the premises under council licensed conditions. ALL sausages are handmade on site to original recipes
Homecooked Meats
We have become rightly famous for our cooked meats, all cooked on the premises under strict council licensed conditions. Our biggest seller is our traditional Danish ham; a prizewinner in its class at the 'Q' guild awards as was our Scotch salt beef. Also popular are our Scotch roast beef, Ox tongue, and roast turkey. Our Unique Specialities
We pride ourselves on being one of the very few shops in the country who still create that rare and excellent Victorian Christmas main course 'Pandora's cushion' also known as a 'Victorian stuffed Goose'. This consists of a boned out fresh goose stuffed with a boned out fresh chicken stuffed with a boned out fresh pheasant stuffed with a boned out quail at its center all hand stitched back into the original shape of the goose. This rare treat has become very popular with the our customers in recent years as something special for Christmas rather than the usual turkey,so much so that we now believe that we sell more geese than any other butchers shop in London.For more details and cooking instructions click:-Victorian stuffed Goose
Homemade Sausages
